NA-YGN Announcements:

 

1.     Due TOMORROW (1/15/2010): Local Chapter End of Year Reports!  The Local Chapter Leads should send all completed reports to the US Affairs Chair.  

  

2.     Last Chance to Register: Our next webinar topic is “Speaking effectively about nuclear energy" presented by Brian Meeley, vice president of communications firm Potomac Communications Group, Inc. The presentation will outline the fundamentals of messaging and risk communications to deliver compelling presentations to both large and small audiences. 3.     2010/2011 Elections Are Just Around the Corner! Open positions will include Canadian Affairs Chair, Treasurer, Professional Development Chair and Vice President. Please send nominations to Brent Williams (Past President) for these positions by January 30, 2010.

 

4.     The winter issue of Go Nuke! is posted on the website and attached.  Read up all about Public Outreach! If you are interested in writing an article for the April edition, please contact communications@na-ygn.org.  All articles need to be submitted by February 9, 2010.

 

5.     Award nominations for our annual awards that are given out at the May Workshop (Excellence, Chapter Achievement, Future) will be accepted through February 12th. The website homepage now has descriptions and links. For more information and/or questions contact awards@na-ygn.org.

 

6.     Sponsors Needed for the NA-YGN Professional Development Conference held May 16-18, 2010 in San Francisco. Please work with your organizations and consider supporting the NA-YGN conference.
