NA-YGN Announcements:

2.       Speaking of the Workshop…

The NA-YGN Hill Day was an incredible success!  Not only did we get raving feedback from participants expressing gratitude and positive experiences but we also received feedback from Congressional staffers and Members of Congress telling us they saw NA-YGN teams all over the Hill!  Both goals for the day were reached, 1) we successfully flooded the Hill with nuclear support  and 2) we represented the industry professionally.  Together 245 participants split into 46 groups and attended 92 scheduled meeting with Congressional staffers and Members.  But there’s more for you all to report!  Please follow this link and fill out a short survey so we can report on this monumental effort and make the next Hill Day even better!  Survey: 2009 NA-YGN Participant Hill Day Survey

The Hill Day may be over, but now is the time use your congressional communication plan to set up meetings in your home districts this summer!

3.       Speaking of Congressmen…

Friend Congressman Altmire

At the 2009 NA-YGN Conference, Congressman Jason Altmire (PA-D) gave the keynote address to the 375 participants.  Representative Altmire spoke to the crowd giving them the inside scoop on the status of the industry in the political arena, his insights on the future of nuclear power and praised NA-YGNers for their work for the industry.  The Congressman then fielded questions from participants on used fuel management, helpful hints for the Hill Day and recent political developments.

Please “friend” Congressman Jason Altmire on Facebook and become one of his supporters!  NA-YGNers can also express their gratitude for his support and for him taking the time to come speak to the group by writing on his wall!

4.       Speaking of Social Networking…

Did you know you can keep up with all those fabulous people you met at the Workshop through the NA-YGN Facebook and LinkedIn Groups?

5.       But if you didn’t make the Workshop…
