NA-YGN Announcements:

 

1.     Please welcome our newest chapter of NA-YGN! Mid-Columbia has organized itself in Richland, Washington!

2.     Back to School means it is Annual Drawing Contest time again! This year Roddy Nuclear is the Power of the Future.  Check out the redesigned website for rules and planning timeframes on how your chapter can present to 4th and 5th graders on nuclear science and technology.  Last year over 3,000 posters were submitted reaching students all over North America.  Help us reach out to more students this Fall before the deadline of October 22, 2010

3.     The 2010 Knowledge Transfer Survey is ready. If you want to see what recommendations to the nuclear industry came out of the survey check it out. Questions on knowledge transfer? Contract kt@na-ygn.org!

4.     What makes your NA-YGN Chapter successful?  Go to NA-YGN's Clean Energy Insight to share and discuss what makes your chapter successful, what you've done to encourage involvement, and what your plans are for the future.  NA-YGN member Carrington Dillon discusses his recent IYNC presentation "Key Aspects of a Successful YGN Chapter" on the site.  Please comment and discuss.  Contact pi@na-ygn.org or cleanenergyinsight@na-ygn.org with any questions.

5.     IYNC is looking for a Vice President. It was resolved that the Vice President position must be filled in before 30 November 2010 in line with section 3 (C) of the IYNC Bylaws.  All candidates need to submit an Officer Candidate Form to the Executive Secretary, Senoelo Pheto (Spheto@nnr.co.za) by no later than 8 October 2010.  If you are interested in running contact your country’s representative (USA-  misha.swanson@cengllc.com or Canada Bharath.nangia@amec.com) for the forms.
