NA-YGN Announcements:
1.
The Congressional Communication Plan has
been added to the website. Use this summer to set up appointments with members of
Congress in their home offices. You can find a leave
behind as well as the instructions
on setting up a meeting on the Public Information portion of the
website.
2.
The NA-YGN
infrastructure has been updated…Check
out the new committee heads and where there are vacancies! This is a great way
to develop skills that will help your leadership abilities or take on a little
bit of leadership if your job responsibilities aren’t there yet.

the website? Feel free to send issues with the website or
things you would like to see there to communications@na-ygn.org.

Did you submit a summary for the 2009
Young Professionals Congress? Why not submit an Abstract for IYNC too
and present your paper to an international audience of your peers? International Youth Nuclear Congress 2nd Call
for Papers. The IYNC2010 conference will be held the week after
the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup. The conference location is the City of Cape
Town located in the Western Cape Province. The venue is the internationally
renowned Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC), which
is situated at the foot of the famous Table Mountain. The Deadline for Abstract
Submission is August 3, 2009 and
Abstracts should be submitted here.

Thanks to all who participated in the
Alex Flint Webinar. We
are working on getting a summary posted for those who missed it, but as a recap
there was 732
registered participants, 25 local chapters and 8 organizations who are not
affiliated with a NA-YGN Chapter representing Canada, the USA, Universities,
National Labs, NRC, US Senate, Consulting firms, AE firms, Vendors, and
Utilities…
