1. Registration
for the 2010 NA-YGN Professional Development Conference held May 16-18, 2010 in San Francisco is now open.
Please register and book

2. “Let
San Francisco Captivate You!” NA-YGN Conference attendees
participating in the special event Sunday morning, May
16 will be given the opportunity to see San Francisco and
visit the famous Alcatraz State Park while networking with other conference
attendees. Attendees should be aware that this event will require lots of
walking, so please dress appropriately! Plenty of time has been provided
in the agenda to allow attendees to shower and change before the 2pm start of
the conference sessions back at the hotel. NA-YGN has received many request
from attendees to purchase extra tickets , but NA-YGN’s block is
completely sold out of tickets, however the boat company still has tickets
available. If you have guest coming to the conference with you and they want to
visit Alcatraz with the group, please purchase tickets separately for the 10 or

nuclear energy is the grand prize winner out of more than 1,000 entries in this
year's CSPAN StudentCam contest.

Chapter Leads teleconference today,
April 29 from 3 - 3:30pm EST.
This is a “special” teleconference
in addition to our usual bi-monthly calls. The purpose of this
teleconference is to discuss the annual conference coming up May 16-18 in San
Francisco, CA. Representatives from the NA-YGN Professional Development
Committee will be on the line to make sure that you get the latest
information. If you are not a local chapter lead but you have questions
about the conference, team up with your local chapter lead to participate in

The CNS is holding its 31st
Annual Conference in Montreal May 24 - 27.
This annual conference gathers together
scientists, engineers, technologists and students interested in all aspects and
applications of energy from the atom. The central objective of this conference
is to provide a forum for exchange of views on how this technical enterprise
can best serve the needs of humanity, now and in the future. For more

The NA-YGN Professional Development Workshop
will be held on May 23 from 10 a.m. to 3
p.m, just prior to the CNS Conference. This workshop is free to attend and all
are welcome. The theme is, "Navigating Your Career." Speakers will be
discussing topics such as "Handling Stress," "Effective
Communication," and the World Nuclear University program. Questions?

9. Registration for the 2010 International
Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) held July
12-18, 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa is now open. IYNC has held
five successful conferences around the globe – with delegates convening
in Slovakia (2000), South Korea (2002), Canada (2004), Sweden/Finland (2006),
and Switzerland (2008). The recent IYNC 2008 conference attracted over 330
nuclear professionals from 30 countries!
