1. NAYGN Members- Register NOW

The 2013 NAYGN Professional Development Conference held May 12-14 in Washington, D.C. The theme for this year's workshop is "Securing the Future of Nuclear: Safety, Technology and Leadership." 2. October 21 to 25, 2013 is just around the corner and it’s time to start planning your outreach activities for National Nuclear Science Week. There are lots of ideas and materials available on the NNSW website. Check it out: http://www.nuclearscienceweek.org/

4. There is an online poll being conducted by the San Diego Union-Tribune regarding the future of nuclear energy. Please vote “no” to register your support for the continued operations for the facility. Though unofficial, these polls can still influence readers, so your participation is greatly appreciated. Please note that polls can be taken down at the newspaper's discretion so please vote today, and feel free to share this link with family and friends that support our industry. 5. Be on the look-out for a new webinar series through NAYGN on leadership and professional development! Following the ‘Develop Yourself for Career Success’ session at the 2013 PD Conference, NAYGN members will present a series of webinars on the NEI Competency Model; remedies to gain some of the skills in the NEI Competency Model; and personal experiences (stories) from other NAYGN members who have gained these skills. The goal is to allow NAYGN members to use these Webinars for years to come. Please check the NAYGN website in the coming weeks for registration details or contact pd@na-ygn.org with any questions.

6. Is someone in your local NAYGN chapter making a difference? Go Nuke would like to put the spotlight on these members. Send details highlighting their achievements and their picture to , communications@na-ygn.org.

7. NAYGN members, do you have great events or activities going on in your NAYGN chapter that are worth sharing with the rest of your NAYGN peers? The NAYGN official website (www.naygn.org) is always looking for more content from our many chapters so that we are better informed and connected. If your chapter has a story to share, please email it to communications@na-ygn.org and do include pictures. These materials will be used to populate our website blog and may be referenced/duplicated on our Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn pages. We look forward to hearing about your great work.
