NA-YGN Announcements:

 

1.     Register now for the Southeast Regional Event!  The Entergy Chapter’s of NA-YGN will be hosting the 2nd annual Southeast Regional Event in New Orleans, LA on November 18th and 19th, 2010, but you don’t have to be a member of the southeast region to register!  If you’d like to register for this event, please enter the INPO website using your company log-in and then click this link to ensure you get registered!  If you do not have access to the INPO website, please email Giovanna Montaņes-Durand and she can register you for the event.  Please see the event on the NA-YGN calendar to view the agenda.  For more information, contact Patrick Mason, the event chair.

2.     NA-YGN has kicked off a new initiative called +One. This project is a joint knowledge transfer and professional development initiative targeted at helping NA-YGN members become engaged with the industry's technical decision making activities. The first +One program with the Nuclear Energy Institute is ready to receive applications. Interested individuals can learn more about +One by clicking here.

3.     NA-YGN has added a new chapter!  Welcome Zachry Nuclear Engineering’s Charlotte, NC location as our newest addition.

4.     Potential tracks for IYNC (Charlotte 2012) have been announced and are looking for Track Chairs and reviewers. If you are interested in helping out in any of these areas contact the North American Liaison for IYNC.

5.     The Fall Issue of GoNuke! is available. Check it out here. Lots of articles about what you can do with your career in nuclear and for your career in nuclear, including why you should run for an NA-YGN office. The Winter Issue of GoNuke! is looking for authorsif you like to write and have something to say about Public Information please contact communications@na-ygn.org.

6.     Check out the Public Information - Video Committee’s video testimonials on the NA-YGN’s Youtube channel.  Testimony was collected at last May’s PD Conference in San Francisco, CA.  If you are interested in joining with the Video Committee or  would like to submit a NA-YGN testimonial on one of these topics (attached), please contact Christine Csizmadia at video@na-ygn.org or blog about it on www.cleanenergyinsight.org.
