NAYGN Announcements:

 

1.       Cast your vote now! Online voting for the 14th Annual NAYGN Drawing contest is available now until 12/1/12 on the Clean Energy Insight website.  We had an incredible number of entries with participation from 19 NAYGN chapters across North America with 38 contests and 1495 drawing submissions! This years' theme of "Roddy Nuclear Builds Tomorrow” – placed an emphasis on the importance of new plant construction for the future of nuclear and growing energy demands. The top 5 drawings will be showcased at the 2012 ANS Conference in San Diego, CA, November 11-15, 2012, and winners will be announced by 12/1/12! Thank you to all who participated – vote now for your favorite!

2.      Support uranium mining in Virginia in online poll! If you haven't voted already, please take a minute to vote in Virginia Delegate Onzlee Ware's online poll on uranium mining in Virginia: CLICK HERE TO VOTE NOW!

Virginia Delegate Onzlee Ware is an influential member of the Virginia Coal & Energy Commission's Uranium Mining Subcommittee and will play a critical role in the General Assembly's decision on Virginia's uranium mining moratorium in the coming months.

4.      NAYGN is currently looking for a few good men and women- the following positions are open:

Assistant Webmaster. Are you web-savvy?  Do you want to see NAYGN develop an excellent website?  We need your help.  Please contact Jana Thames, communications chair.

Public Information committee –general committee members and regional points of contact for communicationsWe are looking for members who are interested in getting more involved in advocacy-type activities, and members who are interested in helping to coordinate advocacy-type communications across their NAYGN region.  Interested?  Contact Morgan Davis, public information chair.

Chapter Health committee membersDo you have chapter leadership experience?  We are looking for a team of current and veteran local chapter leaders who have some passion around helping NAYGN chapters thrive.  Contact Duncan Robinson, past president.
