NA-YGN Announcements:

2.      Registrations are now being accepted for two popular Canadian Nuclear Society courses: Nuclear 101 -Everything you wanted to know about nuclear technology and were afraid they’d ask! – April 23 and 24 – McMaster University in Hamilton, ON (near Toronto) Candu Reactor Safety Course – May 7 to May 9 – Toronto, ON

 

3.       Do you have a unique work practice?  IYNC is looking for talented individuals, like you, to submit and present a paper on your unique work practice.  The deadline is approaching, March 14, 2012.  For more information please visit www.iync.org or e-mail Michael Hope, track chair at mjhope@nuclearfuelservices.com

 

4.      The Public Information Committee is looking for volunteers!  There are volunteer opportunities in the following areas: Student Education, IYNC Outreach Workshop, Social Media, Clean Energy Insight, and Regional Outreach.  Levels of participation vary from writing a blog about your chapter to leading an initiative across North America!  Please contact Morgan Davis at davis@na-ygn.com if you are interested in volunteering.

 

5.       Thank you for your participation in the 2012 NA-YGN Career Survey, over 1400 NA-YGN members completed this survey!  Thanks to the high level of participation, we will be able to more accurately  represent the voice of the young generation.  The benchmarking team is busy analyzing the results -look for the survey report in May 2012.  Survey results will also be discussed during the local chapter and regional leadership session at IYNC2012 in August.
