NA-YGN Announcements:

 

1.     2010/2011 Elections Results! Congratulations to the officers who won Core positions for the 2010-2011 season. Duncan, Erin and Christine will begin their terms in May at the Workshop. Morgan and Guadalupe began immediately and Adam will continue his reign as Treasurer.

4.     Volunteers Needed for a joint project between the NA-YGN Knowledge Transfer and Benchmarking Committees.  NA-YGN has been offered the opportunity to present at the industry knowledge transfer conference taking place in October 2010. We want to tell the industry what's working, what could be better and what else we need.  If you’re interested in helping to develop and evaluate a knowledge transfer focused survey, please contact Michael Tronosky.

 

5.     Membership Renewal is ongoing. If you got this email directly from me (MISHA SWANSON) you are a member in good standing. If you got this message from your Chapter Lead, you are not a National member or have not yet renewed your membership.  You will need your member ID and email address. Forgot your member ID? 6.     Local chapter lead call is March 25th from 3-3:30. Interim-US affairs Chair, Erin West  will send out an agenda and the call-in number prior to the call.  

 

7.     Registration for the 2010 NA-YGN Professional Development Conference held May 16-18, 2010 in San Francisco is now open. Please register and book your hotel by April 14th in order to save money.  Questions about the Conference?  Contact the Professional Development Chair.

 

8.     Registration for the 2010 International Youth Nuclear Congress (IYNC) held July 12-18, 2010 in Cape Town, South Africa is now open. IYNC has held five successful conferences around the globe – with delegates convening in Slovakia (2000), South Korea (2002), Canada (2004), Sweden/Finland (2006), and Switzerland (2008). The recent IYNC 2008 conference attracted over 330 nuclear professionals from 30 countries!
