Still Time to Join the Nuclear Advocacy Network
Over 2,400 of your nuclear industry colleagues have already registered to be a nuclear advocate, have you?
As a member of NA-YGN, we all know how important it is to stay current on nuclear policies, news and technology especially considering nuclear energy is such a hot topic!
As a member of the Nuclear Advocacy Network (NAN), you will receive e-mail action alerts, information and critical news about current nuclear energy issues that may be pending in Congress or at the state level. The network will help you influence the outcome of these issues by providing ways to reach policymakers in an effective and timely way. These action alerts will instruct you on how to access your congressional and state representatives to express your views on nuclear-related issues.
To join, please visit the NAN website at www.nuclearadvocacynetwork.com<http://www.nuclearadvocacynetwork.com/> and register as a nuclear advocate! Be sure to use the key word uranium to join - recruitment is by invite only. This key word will only work only until the end of June so register NOW!

New Professional Development Focus
Professional development is one of the founding principles of NA-YGN and the Core decided to re-commit ourselves to this important tenet by offering a monthly professional development presentation and talking points to our 50 local chapters. Some ideas for topics include: business etiquette, developing a personalized career path and how to manage collegues with more experience.
We are in need of a lead and team members for the Professional Development "Hot Topics" drive for the year. This role entails enabling a monthly PD workshop via the internet, coordinating qualified speakers, and ensuring materials are passed on to website team. The committee members would need to commit about 4-6 hours over several months, but would have the opportunity to lead a project from conception to completion and would significantly build their network. The committee lead would need to commit 1hr per week and have an extensive network.
