1. We want to hear from YOU - it's time for the 2012 NA-YGN Career Survey! The
NA-YGN benchmarking committee has released the survey for all members, and your
participation is vital to our success! CLICK HERE TO TAKE THE

a couple minutes of your time, is anonymous, and will provide the committee with data for
the 2012 NA-YGN Career Report. Act now - the survey closes on February 3rd. Help us

2. Go Nuke is currently looking for writers for the Winter edition. If your chapter
is doing something of interest and you have a story idea or are interested in writing,

3. There is a poll being conducted by the Journal News regarding the future of
Indian Point. If you support the continued operation of Indian Point, please click

and vote "Yes." Though unofficial, these polls can still influence readers, so
your participation is greatly appreciated.
4. NA-YGN is currently looking for webinar ideas. If you have any suggestions, please

5. National Nuclear Science Week (NNSW) is January 23 to 27, 2012. NA-YGN
encourages chapters to celebrate with us on January 27, 2012 by doing public outreach
activities and celebrating nuclear science within your chapters. Chapters that
participate in NNSW activities and post them on
www.cleanenergyinsight.org<http://www.cleanenergyinsight.org> are eligible to win a
Roddy Costume for their chapter.
6. We ask that members review the four potential award types and then nominate
individuals, groups, or local chapters for these awards. We are looking for nominations
for activities accomplished only during the 2011 calendar year.

growth of members through social, community service, and professional growth activities.

This is the highest award given by NA-YGN to an individual. It is presented to a member of
NA-YGN who exemplifies the efforts of the organization's Founders.
7. On January 25, 2012, 7 p.m. - 8 p.m. EST, Excelsior
College<http://www.excelsior.edu/> will host a special event webinar in recognition
of National Nuclear Science Week focusing on the role of professional organizations in
furthering career advancement for women in the nuclear field. The panel will feature
Margaret Harding of the American Nuclear Society, Erin West of North American Young
Generation in Nuclear, and Tennessee Valley Authority's Coleen Ware. Watch live online

8. Public Information is looking for volunteers! There are volunteer opportunities
in the following areas: Student Education, IYNC Outreach Workshop, Social Media, Clean
Energy Insight, and Regional Outreach. Levels of participation vary from writing a blog
about your chapter to leading an initiative across North America! Please contact Morgan

volunteering.
9. Nominations - NA-YGN is now accepting nominations for Vice President, Professional
Development Chair, Treasurer and Canadian Affairs Chair. Position descriptions can be
