ANNUAL CAREER SURVEY!
How's your career going? Is the nuclear field what you anticipated? Please share

World Nuclear University!
Imagine a summer overseas building an international network of nuclear collegues....That
opportunity could be yours with the World Nuclear University. This unique summer program

Also needed for the conference are a Marketing Chair, Special Events Chair, Web Developer
and Webmaster. If you'd like to be involved in the planning but don't want to
commit to anything, you can join the monthly calls on the first Tuesday of every month

Please keep the 2009 NA-YGN PD Conference May 17-19 in Washington DC and 2009 Young
Professionals Embedded Topical at the 2009 ANS Winter Meeting November 15-19, 2009 in

Regional Career Fairs
Each NA-YGN region has selected a university and a timeframe for their career fair. The
following Career Fairs and Information Sessions are currently planned:
November 2008:
The Southeast region - University of Tennessee - Knoxville, on Nov 6-7
December 2008:
The West region - University of New Mexico on Dec 1-2.
January 2009:
The Carolinas region - South Carolina State University
The Northeast region - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute
February 2009:
The Mid-Atlantic Region - University of Maryland, College Park, Feb 11th.

PLAN AHEAD FOR CNS!
The annual Canadian Nuclear Society Conference is taking place in Calgary Alberta 31 May
to 3 June 2009 with the theme "New Nuclear Frontiers". The deadline for
submission of full papers is 1 February 2009.

"Putting it All Together: Keys to Organizing Effective Technical Sessions"
This is the first in a series of workshops that explore how to make the most of your
participation in technical professional meetings and conferences. In this workshop style
short course we will provide an introduction to the process and requirements for
organizing a technical session, gain some insight into what makes a session successful
from a panel of experienced organizers, and complete an interactive activity that gives
you a chance to exercise your technical session planning muscle.
