NA-YGN Announcements:
1. 2010/2011 Elections Are Just Around the Corner! Open positions will include
Canadian Affairs Chair, Treasurer, Professional Development Chair and Vice President.
Please send nominations to Brent Williams<mailto:williams@na-ygn.org> (Past
President) for these positions by January 30, 2010. If you have been nominated your
biography is also due January 30th.
2. It's Coming...Membership Renewal starts February 12, which means that EVERYONE
will get a notice saying they have been unsubscribed. AFTER you receive this message you
need to renew your membership and while you are on the NA-YGN website you should vote.
3. Elections will start February 12.
4. Local Chapter End of Year Reports! The results are in! With about a 77% response
rate NA-YGNers around North America performed 50,670 Professional Development hours and
23,754 Public Information hours for a total of 74,424 hours in 2009. WAY TO GO!
5. Last week's webinar "Speaking effectively about nuclear energy"
presented by Brian Meeley, vice president of communications firm Potomac Communications
Group, Inc was fan-freaking-tastic. Thanks to our presenter and all those that

6. The winter issue of Go Nuke! is

be submitted by February 9, 2010.
7. Award nominations for our annual awards that are given out at the May Workshop
(Excellence, Chapter Achievement, Future) will be accepted through February 12th. The
