1. Good News! The deadline for submitting abstracts for the 2010 IYNC has been
extended. The new deadline is Monday, September 14, 2009. If you know anything about one
of the following topics you should submit an Abstract

develop your presentation skills, create an international network, and give you something
to brag about on your performance appraisal. Questions about technical tracks should be

The
IYNC2010<http://www.iync.org/congresses/iync2010.html> conference will be held
the week after the 2010 FIFA Soccer World Cup in South Africa. The conference location is
the City of Cape Town located in the Western Cape Province. The venue is the
internationally renowned Cape Town International Convention Center (CTICC), which is
situated at the foot of the famous Table Mountain.

3. It's that time of year again and your Members of Congress are home for the
August recess. They'll be attending summer barbecues, holding town hall meetings and
looking for opportunities to hear from their constituents. Please see attached for a
Public Information Brief on how to proceed.
4. Regional Event in the Atlantic Region. The DC Chapter of NA-YGN is sponsoring the
November 15, 2009 The Colonel Ripley Memorial Fuel for Life

benefiting the Injured Marine Semper Fi

Annapolis, MD. A NA-YGN team has been set up as "Fueled by Atoms." The 5k run
is the Sunday before the ANS Winter Meeting and YPC embedded topical, so those of you
visiting from out of town may also participate! Bring your running gear!
5. There has been an explosion of interest in NA-YGN since the 2009 Professional
Development Workshop in May. This interest has translated into the addition of 9 new local
chapters which we are happy to announce as official chapters. They include:
